Hawaii State ID cards issued on or after January 5 will have a new design.  The new cards will have a green border across the top, with the words “Hawaii Identification Card”.  An image of the state flag will appear in the upper left corner and the letters USA will appear to the right of the flag.  Height will be designated in inches and weight will be reflected in a range code.  Additionally, Hawaii State ID cards for persons under the age of 21 will have a new vertical format.  Emergency contact information, citizenship, and self-disclosed organ donor and advanced health care directive status will appear on the back of the card.  Cards issued before January 5th 2009 will continue to be valid until the expiration date printed on the card.
