Maui Nui Botanical Gardens will host a free kapa making demonstration lead by The Kapa Hui on Saturday, August 21st from 10am-1pm.  Traditional Hawaiian methods of preparing, dyeing and decorating kapa, or bark cloth, will be presented.  This is the first of many free cultural demonstrations hosted by Maui Nui Botanical Gardens, located at 150 Kanaloa Avenue in Kahului.  Call 249-2798 or visit mnbg.org for a complete list of upcoming cultural demonstrations.
