Grammy Nominees for Best Hawaiian Music Album released

The Grammy nominees for Best Hawaiian Music Album include some familiar return faces.  The nominees this year are actress Tia Carrere for “Huana Ke Aloha” (Daniel Ho Creations), Daniel Ho for “Polani” (Daniel Ho Creations), Amy Hanaialii and Slack Key Masters of Hawaii for their collaboration (Peterson Productions), Ledward Kaapana for “The Legend” (Rhythm & Roots Records), and Jeff Peterson for “Maui on My Mind-Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar” (Peterson Productions).

Meantime, Hawaii-born singer Bruno Mars earned seven Grammy award nominations. The list includes Best Male Pop Vocal and Record of the Year nominations.

The awards will be announced on February 13th.
