Christmas Tree Recycling Available on Maui and Molokai

The County of Maui released a list of locations that will be accepting Christmas trees for recycling.

Drop off times and locations are as follows:

  • CENTRAL MAUI: at EKO Compost (Located at the Central Maui Landfill on Pulehu Road) Monday – Saturday 6 a.m. – 3 p.m., CLOSED SUNDAYS
  • WEST MAUI: Olowalu Recycling Center (3 miles south of Lahaina on Honoapiilani Highway)  Monday – Saturday 8 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. CLOSED SUNDAYS
  • MOLOKAI: Molokai Naiwa Landfill – Recycle Molokai Center, Tuesday – Saturday 8 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. CLOSED SUNDAYS

Officials with the Department of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division, also reminds the public that trees left at any other location or during off hours is considered littering.
