The University of Hawai‘i’s 10 campus system will be closed today through Friday during the school’s normal spring break period. The first four days of the break are considered non-instructional days and are taken in accordance with collective bargaining agreements, and to recover energy savings to meet budget shortfalls. The closure on Friday, March 25th is in observance of Prince Kuhio Day, which is a state holiday.
Certain critical or time sensitive functions or specialized facilities, such as research laboratories, will continue to operate. Athletic events at UH Mānoa and UH Hilo will also be held as scheduled.
