An Oregon man, wanted on a felony warrant in connection with a missing 13-year-old runaway, was arrested on Maui this weekend. Jordan Riley Pratt, 20, of North Powder, Oregon was arrested by Maui Police on Saturday, March 19 as a fugitive from Justice.

Pratt was found with the missing girl at the Westin Maui Ocean Club resort in Kaanapali. A warrant issued by the Baker County District Attorney’s Office listed several Class B felony charges including allegations of: Kidnapping in the Second Degree, Custodial Interference in the First Degree, Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, and Unlawful Sexual Penetration in the Second Degree.

A missing person report regarding the girl was filed with Oregon State Police on Friday, March 18, 2011.

Detectives with the Oregon State Police Major Crimes Section, Dave Aydelotte and Greg Retherford led the investigation. They determined that the two had taken a one-way flight Friday from Portland, Oregon to Maui. Maui Police contacted Pratt at around 9 p.m. Friday at the West Maui resort.

Pratt was being held in police custody while he awaits extradition back to Oregon. The missing girl was taken into protective custody and transported to the Lahaina Police Station. She was subsequently released to Child Protective Services until she can be returned to her parents.
