OHA Sponsors Business, Consumer Loan Application Fair
The Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA), along with its partner First Hawaiian Bank, are encouraging the Native Hawaiian community to come out to a unique loan application fair being held March 30 at the Maui Economic Opportunities, Inc. building in Wailuku.
Native Hawaiians interested in a business or consumer loan are encouraged to attend the free application fair. Maui residents will have the opportunity to can get valuable free tips from financial experts, attend an informational workshop, and visit exhibits designed to help residents navigate the loan process.
The OHA Mālama Loan features a 5-year, 5% fixed rate up to $75,000 for eligible consumers and businesses. The loan can be used for home improvement, educational or business growth. Applications are available at all First Hawaiian Bank branches throughout Hawai‘i.
Featured speakers and booths will include representatives from First Hawaiian Bank, OHA Native Hawaiian Revolving Loan Fund, the Pacific Gateway Center Credit Counseling Station, and the Loan Application Center.
The Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA), the loan Administrator of the Native Hawaiian Revolving Loan Fund (NHRLF), is partnering with First Hawaiian Bank as a strategic lending partner to originate and service the OHA Mālama Loan program to Native Hawaiian consumers and businesses. The Native Hawaiian Revolving Loan Fund Board of Directors retains loan approval authority.
