The Maui Canoe Club hosts a “Paddle for Food” drive on Friday, June 17, 2011.

Participants are asked to bring one or more non-perishable food items to be donated to the Maui Food Bank.  In exchange, they receive a free half-hour paddling session aboard one of the club’s outrigger canoes.

The club will host four separate paddling sessions that morning at 7:30, 8, 8:30 and 9 a.m.  Participants are asked to arrive at least 15 to 20 minutes early.

Maui Canoe Club is located on Sugar Beach along North Kihei Road just north of the Kealia Condominiums in South Maui.
