According to monthly reports issued by the U.S. Department of Transportation, Hawaiian Airlines led the airline industry in on-time performance and fewest flight cancellations during April.

Beating the nation’s carriers by 18.6 percentage points, Hawaiian registered 94.1 percent of its scheduled flights as on-time arrivals in the month of April. Hawaiian also had only three cancellations out of 5,560 total flights during April, which gave it a first overall ranking with 0.1 percent cancelled flights for the month.

Hawaiian has led all U.S. carriers in on-time performance for each of the past seven years (2004-2010) as reported by the U.S. Department of Transportation.

The Air Travel Consumer Report is issued by the U.S. Department of Transportation every month and covers 16 airlines. The full report is available at http://airconsumer.ost.dot.gov/reports/atcr11.htm.
