The County of Maui Planning Department announced the roll-out of a new email news service now available to the public called “Planning Department News”.

Planning Department News announces and provides background information on new and updated permit applications and other forms, administrative rules, and long range plans.  It will also provide information on special community meetings, proposed legislation, time-sensitive application deadlines, and more.

Updates and announcements for the following documents will soon be available: Special Management Area Assessment and Zoning and Flood Confirmation forms, and the Community Plan Amendment application.

The new email notification service is expected to be especially valuable to planning consultants, property developers and owners, government agencies, and community groups.  All interested parties are encouraged to subscribe.
