First Hawaiian Bank is sponsoring its 14th Annual PrimteTime Wellness Fair on Tuesday, September 27 at the Kihei Community Center. The public is invited to take advantage of health education booths, health screening, flu shots, games, entertainment, and door prizes.

The opening ceremony begins at 8:15 a.m. and the Fair will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.

The fair will feature 36 exhibitor booths providing the latest trends and information on various health topics. New to this year’s fair are: Aloha Care providing education and information about Medicare Advantage; Hale Mahaolu, with information on their home delivered meals; and Wilcox Chiropractic conducting free nutritional screenings.

Flu shots are being offered by Mina Pharmacy for those 18 or older.  These are free for members of HMSA, HMAA, UHA, HMA, BCBS and Medicare Plan B beneficiaries. The cost is $35 for non-members. There will also be free health screenings for glucose, cholesterol and blood pressure, as well as anti-oxidant bio-scans and take home test kits for kidney disease.

Attendees will also be treated to door prizes and games throughout the fair, as well as live entertainment, including the senior ukulele group, Pennies from Heaven.  The grand prize drawing will be for $200 worth of gas courtesy of Mid Pac Petroleum (“76” gas stations).

To help prevent identity theft, Access Information Management will shred for free up to two bankers’ boxes of confidential documents per person.

In addition to First Hawaiian Bank, the Maui PrimeTime Wellness Fair is co-sponsored by Maui County Office on Aging, ADRC and Clinical Laboratories of Hawaii, LLP.  For more information, call (808) 873-2212.
