A new learning center will open on Maui this week, specializing in one-to-one instruction and individual’s learning needs.

The Lindamood-Bell Maui Learning Center, is located at 173 Ho’ohana Street in Kahului.  The company utilizes Lindamood-Bell learning programs, a company that has 25-years of experience in literacy research and remediation.

The grand opening celebration takes place at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 27. Festivities include presentations, tours of the Learning Center, refreshments and a chance to win a free Learning Ability Evaluation.

“Working in our Learning Centers has given me the opportunity to see our programs turn a non-reader into someone who has to be asked to put away his book and go to bed; and help an adult successfully pass a certification exam after 2 previous attempts,” said Erica Knapp, the new Learning Center Director.
