HIGH SURF NOTIFICATION 01 FOR SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 5 – TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 7

Maui’s north shore is to see waves from 18-22 feet starting at the beginning of this week.

A large northwest swell will build tonight and spread into the North Shore around 6 p.m. on Monday night.

The National Weather Service in Honolulu  has issued a High Surf ADVISORY for Maui’s North Shore, which means that beach-goers are urged to stay out of the water and away from shore during the advisory period.

Waves are expected to drop below advisory standards at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, but another larger swell is due on Tuesday evening.
