A Maui woman was honored with induction into the Hawaii Law Enforcement Torch Run Hall of Fame.

Terry Jones, who has worked for the Maui Police department for more than two decades, was credited for her involvement in coordinating the department’s annual Troy Barboza Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit Special Olympics.

This year’s event took place on April 21, 2012, along Ka’ahumanu Avenue in Kahului.

Jones is employed as a secretary for the department’s Assistant Chiefs, and has been with the MPD since 1990.

She was honored during a presentation at a ceremony held on Friday, May 25, 2012, at Fort DeRussy in Honolulu.
