The County of Maui, Volunteer Center will host a training session for effective community action planning volunteer projects, entitled “From Dream to Done,” on Friday, August 10.

The free workshop will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Cafe Ole restaurant located at the Dunes at Maui Lani.

The workshop features facilitators from Pacific Facilitation and Leadership, refreshments, giveaways and project awards.

The training is intended for teams of two to eight people who have a project idea in mind, and want to address problems in their communities.

The engagement of volunteers, available resources and team building activities is designed to help participants develop an action plan to create safer and healthier communities.

During the session, participants will develop an action plan, activity, or program that mobilizes a change in their community.
