Small Kahului Brush Fire Extinguished at Maui Lani

A brush fire in Kahului burned a small area before being brought under control early Sunday morning.

The incident was reported at 12:38 a.m. near the corner of the Kuihelani Highway and Maui Lani Parkway.  A 20’ X 30’ area of brush was burned in the incident.

The cause of the fire was undetermined, and no damages or injuries were reported.

Units responding to the scene included Engine 10 and Tanker 10 from Kahului.


Maui Fire officials say the fire was brought under control by 12:48 a.m., and extinguished by 1:01 a.m.
