Flood Watch: Wet Weather Projected for Kauaʻi, Niʻihau

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for the islands of Kauaʻi and Niʻihau beginning on Friday afternoon, and lasting until 6 a.m. on Sunday.

Forecasters are monitoring a cold front approaching the islands, and say it is expected to trigger increased showers, heavy rain, and a chance of thunderstorms.

The NWS projects that the heavy showers could reach as far as O’ahu on Friday, and the watch may be expanded eastward as the system advances.
