Maui police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect(s) involved in a repeat theft of equipment from the Maui Fire Department’s Training Facility in Kahului.

The latest incident occurred at 2:11 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2013 when a male suspect entered the fenced property, broke into a metal storage container, and stole three STIHL chainsaws and a Husqvarna rotary saw, according to police reports.

The incident comes on the heels of a prior theft reported sometime between 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2013 and 2:41 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2013, when police say an unknown offender(s) stole a Husqvarna gas concrete saw, a STIHL gas chainsaw and a gas weed trimmer.

Police say the offender photographed on surveillance may possibly be the same suspect.
