Brush Fire Burns 10 Acres in Haʻikū

Fire crews are conducting mop-up operations at a 10 acre brush fire reported at 12:04 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014 off of ʻŌʻili Road in Haʻikū.
Fire crews from Pāʻia and Kahului were called to the scene and battled the blaze with the assistance of the department’s Air-1 helicopter.
Officials say the fire was called contained at 3:55 p.m.
Authorities said no structures were threatened and no injuries reported.

The cause of the fire was undetermined after investigation.
