A community fundraiser for Best Buddies on Maui features a lineup of celebrity judges and decadent desserts.

The “Life Is Sweet” dessert-tasting event takes place from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the fountain courtyard of The Shops at Wailea.

Wailea’s top chefs will compete to create a signature dessert for the event, while renowned chefs from south Maui’s resorts and restaurants will prepare samplings of savory entrees for guests.

There is a $50 admission fee, with proceeds benefiting the Best Buddies Maui organization to support local programs that assist developmentally-challenged youth and students with disabilities in island schools.
