Fall Family Festival & World Famous Pie Contest, Nov. 16
By Maui Now Staff
The Laʻa Kea Foundation host its 4th Annual Fall Family Festival and World Famous Pie Contest this Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014, from noon to 4 p.m.
All proceeds from the Fall Family Festival go directly to benefit the Laʻa Kea Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides meaningful work opportunities and affordable housing for youth and adults with autism and intellectual disabilities.
Organization leaders say the 12 acre Laʻa Kea Farm in Pāʻia offers a unique alternative to conventional care where coworkers, residents, and day program participants thrive.
The Family Festival and Pie Contest will be held at the Foundation’s organic farm, located at 639 Baldwin Ave in upper Pāʻia.
Festivities include pony rides, tractor rides, crafts, live music, square dancing, a silent auction, and pie tasting.
Admission for adults is $20 (which includes a taste of 20 pies and all activities); and admission free for keiki 14 years of age and younger.
Entries into the pie contest are still being accepted. For more information, contact Laʻa Kea at 808-579-8398 or email [email protected]
