The Lāhainā Restoration Foundation will resume its free monthly Hawaiian Music Series concert on Thursday, Feb. 26, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Baldwin Home Museum lawn (at the corner of Dickenson and Front Street) in Lāhainā. Rising music stars Kamakoa Lindsey-Asing and Pi‘ilani Arias will present a fresh take on traditional Hawaiian music in the outdoor venue among award winning restaurants and shops.

Lindsey-Asing is a Waimea, Hawai‘i Island, native who started playing at an early age and comes from a strong musical background. Now living on Maui, the full-time musician performs with artists like Nāpua Greig, Ikaika Blackburn and the band Ekolu. He recently co-founded and served as director for Project KULEANA, a community-based organization formed to celebrate and share Hawaiian culture. KULEANA’s recent music video, “Kaulana Nā Pua,” featuring local artists in a virtual kanikapila, has gone viral across the state.

Arias hails from Maui and fell in love with music at an early age. The solo and accompanying recording artist has performed with the bands Pono and Rushouze, as well as the trio Leohone with Ikaika Blackburn and Lindsey-Asing.

Limited seating will be provided for kūpuna. Blankets, mats and beach chairs are welcome.
