The Maui Arts & Cultural Center will offer another weekend of eclectic entertainment. From folk-pop music, to urban dance, to New Age and World Music, The MACC offers something for a wide range of tastes.

Friday, Feb. 27
Brett Dennen

Brett Dennen, a folk/pop singer and songwriter from Northern California, released his fifth studio album, “Smoke and Mirrors,” in 2013, featuring “Wild Child.” His other top-charting singles include “Ain’t No Reason,” “Sydney (I’ll Come Running),” “Comeback Kid (That’s My Dog)” and “Out of My Head” from his “Hope for the Hopeless,” “So Much More” and “Loverboy” albums. He will perform in The MACC’s Yokouchi Pavilion beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets: $29 advance, $34 day of show.

With 21 Grammy Award nominations combined, Native American flutist R. Carlos Nakai, and pianist/composer Peter Kater’s 25 year collaboration has produced some of the most memorable and groundbreaking recordings in the New Age and World Music genres. Their music is intimate, intelligent, soulful, soaring and heart-centered. See them in the Castle Theater beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets: $25, $35, $45.
