Have you invented an unforgettable vodka cocktail concoction featuring local, farm-to-table ingredients?

You have until Saturday, February  to enter it in the second annual Ocean Vodka and Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa Cocktail contest.

Recipes will be accepted from both state and national applicants, with five Hawaii-based and one national finalist chosen to compete.

Submissions are evaluated through the following judging criteria:

  1. Completed Application
  2. High Resolution Photo
  3.  Taste
  4.  Presentation
  5. Use of Fresh Ingredients
  6. Creativity
  7. Alignment with Theme “Farm to Table”
  8. Designation of Local/National Entry

Finalists will be profiled and judged at a mix-off event on Saturday, April 11 at the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa.

The six finalists will receive a stay at the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa and contest organizers note that airfare is included for any finalist not already based on Maui.

The contest winner will receive a $500 cash prize, a three-night stay at Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa and their winning recipe on all cocktail menus on the property for a year.

“You can be a professional bartender or spirits aficionado, an amateur mixologist, backyard bartender, or anything in between! Follow the rules and give it your best pour!” says Ocean Vodka CEO Shay Smith.

Entrants must submit a complete registration form, recipe, and high-resolution photograph of their cocktail through the online form by February 28 at 11:59 pm (HST).

Participants must be 21 and older.
