Maui Electric Aerial Line Inspections, March 3 – 4

Maui Electric Company will be using a helicopter to perform routine power line inspections throughout Maui County on Tuesday, March 3 and Wednesday, March 4, 2015.

With weather permitting, the inspections are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the following days and locations:

  • Tuesday, March 3: Maui: Kahului to Hāna to Haleakalā; ‘Ulupalakua to Wailea to Kīhei and Mā‘alaea to Nāpili
  • Wednesday, March 4: Lāna‘i and Moloka‘i

Dates and locations are subject to change due to weather.

Company representatives say routine aerial inspections of equipment, including electrical lines, poles and substations, are necessary to maintain stable and reliable electrical service.
