South: Ankle to waist high waves are expected today.

A new west-northwest swell is building and expected to peak Tuesday. The swell begins to fade Wednesday.

A northwest boost is expected late Wednesday/Thursday due to a storm in the Bering Sea. This should peak Thursday afternoon, hold pretty steady through Friday and then begin to fade. A small bump out of the northwest is also expected next weekend.

Screen Shot 2015-04-06 at 8.38.59 PMTrade swell is expected to hold for the Hilo side this week. Conditions will be sloppy due to the onshore flow.

Our current southerly swell is expected to continue fading Tuesday with another small bump expected midweek. A possible reinforcement swell is on the horizon for next weekend.

Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
