A 63-year-old visitor was pulled unresponsive from the water at Ulua Beach on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, police said.

The woman, identified as Betty Colleen Drexler of Washington state, was spotted floating on the surface and was pulled from the water by beach goers, according to police reports.

Kīhei Patrol Officers were dispatched to the scene at 9:34 a.m., and took over CPR along with fire personnel upon arrival until medics arrived on scene.

Despite all life saving measures, police said Drexler was pronounced dead at the scene.
