Residents and motorists who use Kahekili Highway are reminded that a portion of the road will be closed for most of this week due to road repaving work.

County Communications Director Rod Antone said, the work will take place between the entrance to Camp Maluhia and Kaukini Loop starting Monday, April 27 and continuing on Tuesday, April 28, Thursday, April 30 and Friday, May 1, from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

No work will take place on Wednesday, April 29 so that residents can conduct their business and to account for the shorter school day, Antone said.

Area residents have already been notified and electronic road signs will also be in place to warn motorists of the road closure work.
