Three people were displaced after a fire broke out at a home on Ulupa Place in Spreckelsville last night.

The incident was reported at 7:21 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 by a female occupant who reported that she smelled smoke and heard popping sounds coming from the garage.

Fire officials say she called 9-1-1 and evacuated the home.  Two other people living in the home were at a next door neighbor’s house at the time.

Firefighters from Pāʻia arrived on scene at 7:26 p.m. to find flames and smoke coming from the garage area of the single-story home.  Crews had the fire under control by 8:03 p.m., and contained it to the garage area of the home.
