A freelance photographer from Maui was selected as one of six finalists in the Angry Orchard Summer Honey photo contest.

Alicia Yim’s photo of an Angry Orchard Summer Honey seasonal cider perched at the edge of a tide pool in Kapalua was the only entry from Hawaiʻi that was picked as a finalist.

The 29-year-old freelance photographer from Lahaina who captures images for her Wicked Wahine Photography business, entered the contest in the hopes of winning a trip to New York.

The Grand Prize winner, which will be decided by popular vote, will receive a trip with a guest to Walden, NY to visit the Angry Orchard cidery.  Click here to vote.

There’s just two more days left to vote for Maui’s entry, with voting to conclude on Friday, Aug. 7, 2015.  Entries were posted via Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #MySummerHoney.

I’ve never been to New York and as a photographer it has always been a dream of mine to visit,” Yim tells Maui Now.

As of Wednesday night, Yim was in third place, just 14 votes behind the first runner up, and 57 votes behind the leader.
