Maui AIDS Foundation’s Executive Director Steve Hire and Client Services Director Christine Kapi‘ioho accepted a $5,000 Macy’s Grant Award for the Aloha Emergency Fund Program.

This money will provide critical financial assistance to people living with HIV, who, because of financial or medical hardship, are unable to secure services essential to their health and well-being.

“We are extremely grateful to Macy’s for their generosity and support of our community,” said Hire.

Clients who qualify can receive assistance for emergency housing, utilities, food, medications, health insurance premiums, clothing, diagnostic testing, counseling and transportation.
