UPDATE: 8:02 a.m. 10/12/15, Police say Christian Maggio has since been located and is in good health.   The Maui Police Department thanked the public for their assistance.

A man who recently appeared in Wailuku District Court for a trespass arrest was reported missing after he failed to return home upon his release, police said.

According to Maui police, Cristian Maggio, 36, was arrested for criminal first degree trespass in Lahaina on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2015.

The following day, on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015, Maggio was taken to the Wailuku District Court and was later released at approximately 2 p.m.

A friend reported Maggio missing after he failed to returned home upon his release, police said.

Police say they were unable to locate Maggio after conducting checks at the Wailuku Receiving Desk, Maui Memorial Medical Center, Maui Community Correctional Center, his place of employment and with friends.

Maggio was last seen leaving the Wailuku District Court, wearing red shorts, a white t-shirt and black slippers.

He is described as 5’4″ tall, weighing 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.  Police say he also has a tattoo of a horse on his right chest and a wolf tattoo on his right shoulder.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Christian Maggio is asked to contact the Maui Police Department non-emergency number at (808) 244-6400, or 9-1-1 if it is an emergency or Detective Shane Yoshizawa at (808) 270-4352 (Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).
