North: Wave heights are expected to be knee high or less for breaks open to the fading northwest swell. Trade swell continues for Hana area and spots open to trade swell up to overhead to a few feet overhead.
West: Wave heights knee/waist/chest high are expected today out of the south-southwest. Some breaks could get up to shoulder high on the sets. Spots shadowed by other islands will be pretty flat.
South: The south-southwest is expected to bring knee/chest high waves today. The best breaks could get up to shoulder high on the sets.
Our current south-southwest begins to trend down on Wednesday afternoon.
Our current northwest swell is also on a downward trend. However, a pair of northwesterly swells are expected to roll in Friday and into the weekend.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
