North: Wave heights are expected to be knee high or less. The best breaks could get up to chest/shoulder high. Trade swell continues for Hana area and spots open to trade swell with wave heights up to a few feet overhead on the sets.
West: Wave heights knee/waist high are expected today out of the south-southwest. Spots shadowed by other islands will be pretty flat.
South: The south-southwest is expected to bring knee/waist high waves today – just leftovers. Breaks open to the trade swell could get up to head high or bigger on the sets.
Our current south-southwest continues to trend down today.
A new northwest swell is expected to overlap and shows for the weekend. A slightly larger northwest swell is expected to build midweek but be rather short-lived.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
