A record number of 440 runners and walkers participated in this past weekend’s Day of Hope fundraiser at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea.

The event raised an estimated $55,000, with proceeds to benefit the American Cancer Society, Pacific Cancer Foundation, and Kapiʻolani Medical Center.

Locks of Love was also on hand to lop off pony tails of 10 inches or longer to be made into real-hair wigs for children going through cancer treatment.
