New NW Fills in Today, More Swells Ahead

North: Wave heights are expected to be waist/chest high today. The best breaks could get up to head high.

West: Wave heights are below waist high today. Northwest wrap up to knee/thigh high expected.

South: Wave heights are below waist high today. Spots catching the trade swell could be up to overhead.

Screen Shot 2015-12-23 at 4.29.10 PMOur current small northwest swell is expected to be down to trace amounts Thursday. A slightly better swell is expected to fill in Thursday night into Friday. A new northwest swell is forecast to fill in Sunday morning and peak in the afternoon.

A new south-southwest is expected to build this weekend and peak Sunday into Monday around waist/chest high.

Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
