Maui Cheer Babes took two teams to the competition this year—a youth level-one team called “Fab 1” comprised of 19 cheerleaders, and a youth level-two team called “Fierce 2” comprised of 21 cheerleaders.
Fab 1 overpowered three other teams to win the youth level-one division; they also earned the “Best Stunt Award.”
Fierce 2 outscored two other teams to win the youth level-two division and were also awarded the “Innovative Choreography Award.” They also earned an At-Large Bid to the Summit competition in Orlando, Florida. (See more awards below.)
Fab 1 and Fierce 2 are lead by Head Coach Michelle Sniffen, who has served in that position since 2011. She is assisted by Ella Kahiamoe, Denise Texeira and Traci Villarosa.
All the teams will advance to the Jamz competition in Las Vegas on Feb. 26 through 28 and head to Orlando, Florida, in May 2016.
