Staff Shortage Affects Refuse Pickups in Haʻikū, Pāʻia

The County of Maui Department of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division, announced that due to a staff shortage, a residential refuse collection route in the Haʻikū and Pāʻia areas was not picked up on Friday, Jan. 29, 2016. All missed pickups are expected to be completed tomorrow, Jan. 30, 2016.
Affected areas in Haʻikū/Pāʻia include:
- Spreckelsville;
- Kupuno Street;
- Skill Village;
- Kūʻau Bay View;
- Kokomo Road;
- Lilikoʻi Road;
- Haʻikū Road;
- and all surrounding streets.
Officials with the Solid Waste Division apologized for the inconvenience and thanked the community in advance for their understanding and cooperation.
