The Queen Ka’ahumanu Center in Kahului celebrates the paniolo culture of Maui’s cowboys and ranchers during a “Let’s Get Country” event at the center court from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016.

“We are excited to be celebrating our own Paniolo,” said Jacqueline Perreira, QKC General Manager. The event will include entertainment by Maui’s own Country Knights and performing artist Teri Garrison of Honolulu.

Three of Maui’s own ranches, Haleakalā, ʻUlupalakua and Kaonoulu Ranch will participate in a ranch panel to “talk story” and answer questions regarding ranching on Maui.

In addition, Makawao Museum will provide historical information.

The event is free and the public is encouraged to wear their favorite paniolo gear. Free bandannas will be provided to the first 200 guests.
