The Maui Department of Water Supply is advising customers that repairs will be made to a leaking water tank that serves the Central and South Maui areas on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 14 and 15, 2016.

Customers in parts of Puʻunēnē and Kīhei will be without water service between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on both days. Customers affected include those in the following areas:

  • Puʻunēnē: Central Maui Baseyard; Army National Guard Armory; and the Maui Humane Society
  • Kīhei: Hale Kai Street; Hoalike Street; Maui High Tech Park; Auhana Road, from Haukai Place to Kuli Puu Street; Haukai Place; Aluna Place; and Auina Place.

The Department is also asking all consumers in the following areas to conserve water during the outage: Wailuku Country Estates, Māʻalaea, Kīhei, Wailea and Mākena.

Affected customers may wish to store water in preparation for the outage, or adjust schedules accordingly.

Water wagons will be available at five locations to help customers meet water needs. Locations include:

  • Puʻunēnē: Central Maui Baseyard; and the Maui Humane Society
  • Kīhei: Intersection of Ohukai Road and Hale Kai Street; Maui High Tech Park; and Intersection of Auina Place and Auhana Road

Customers are asked to call the 24-hour service line at (808) 270-7633 if a water-related problem occurs or if there are any questions.
