Maui Surf Forecast
North: Surf is waist/chest/head high today with the best breaks getting a bit bigger on the sets.
West: Surf is pretty knee/waist high today for most westerly exposures in the morning and building thorough the day to about chest/shoulder high by the afternoon.
South: Surf is pretty knee/waist high today for most westerly exposures in the morning and building thorough the day to about chest/shoulder high by the afternoon.
A long period south-southwest swell is building today with larger waves expected in the afternoon than in the morning. The swell will peak on Wednesday but hold much of its size through Thursday.
North-northeast swell lingers but fading today. New north-northwest swell is expected for Wednesday, peaking in the afternoon and holding into Thursday morning before fading some.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
