Organizers of the Women’s March on Maui continue their efforts to engage the public with “ThrowDown” Thursday Rallies in February.

Starting on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, the Organizing for Action – Maui Chapter and the Women’s March on Washington – Maui team will host weekly rallies at the University of Hawaiʻi Maui campus front entrance.

Organizers are calling the rallies a form of “peaceful resistance” in response to policies the new administration is proposing that organizers say “threaten democracy.”

The events encourage advancement of human rights and will take place each Thursday in February from 4 to 6 p.m. at the UHMC entrance.
