Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents the return of the Ebb & Flow Ensemble in a concert of five Hawaiʻi premieres and one world premiere.

The performance is in the MACC’s Castle Theater at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 5. There will be a pre-concert discussion for ticket holders in the theater at 2 p.m.

The musical program will include two Interludes by Jacques Ibert for flute, violin, and piano; Duo by Vivian Fine for flute and viola; Prelude, Recitative, and Variations by Maurice Duruflé for flute, viola, and piano; Three Madrigals by Bohuslav Martinů for violin and viola; Genen by Peter Schat for violin and piano; and a world premiere of the recently completed Metaphor by Robert Pollock for flute, violin, viola, and piano.

Featured performers are co-founder of Ebb & Flow Ensemble and concert master of Hawaiʻi Symphony, violinist, Ignace Jang. Also appearing are principal flutist of Hawaiʻi Symphony, Susan McGinn, member of HSO, violist, Carlo Andreas Malanima, and composer-pianist, Robert Pollock.

Ebb & Flow Arts, Inc. is a nonprofit presenter of modern music and multi media events. It is the only such presenter in Hawaiʻi, and was founded in 1999 by composer/pianist Robert Pollock. It aims to build bridges between the arts and connect artistic expressions and cultures.


Tickets are $30 plus applicable fees and available at the MACC Box Office, by phone at 242-SHOW or online at MACC members receive a 10% discount. Children 12 and under are half price.
