Modeled after lumberjack competitions, 33 male and female contestants will compete to demonstrate the accuracy, convenience and speed that power tools provide. During preliminary rounds each contestant will use hand tools in a series of four events with the fastest four competitors moving on to the final round.

The events include:

Dewalt’s “Hammer da Nail” where contestants have to hand nail (10) 3″ nails into a 2X4.
Milwaukee’s “Cut da Wood” where contestants have to hand saw through a 4X4
Bosch’s “Drill da Bit” where contestants have hand drill through a 4X6 using a 5/8″ brace drill
Hitachi’s “Unscrew da Screw” where contestants have to unscrew (2) 2″ Drywall Screws from a 4X4

“It’s not always the biggest person that wins,” said Rand Okemura, President of Slim’s Power Tools and coordinator of the He-Man Competition. “The competition tests speed, skill and accuracy and it showcases the convenience of using power tools.”
