July 24, 2018 Surf Forecast
Outlook through Tuesday July 31: A slight increase in trade wind swell and a small short period northeast swell will give a modest bump to north and east facing shores today and Wednesday. The current long period south swell will continue to drop today and will return to small background levels Wednesday through the weekend. No other significant swells are expected through early next week.
Surf heights are forecast heights of the face, or front, of waves. The surf forecast is based on the significant wave height, the average height of the one third largest waves, at the locations of the largest breakers. Some waves may be more than twice as high as the significant wave height. Expect to encounter rip currents in or near any surf zone.
Surf: Knee to thigh high NE short period wind swell in the morning builds in the afternoon with occasional sets up to stomach high.
Conditions: Sideshore/choppy with E winds 15-20mph.
Surf: Knee to waist high S ground swell with occasional stomach high sets.
Conditions: Glassy in the morning with NW winds less than 5mph. Semi glassy/semi bumpy conditions for the afternoon with the winds shifting W 5-10mph.
Surf: Small scale (ankle to knee high) surf.
Conditions: Clean with E winds 15-20mph in the morning shifting ENE for the afternoon.
