The Traveling Plate, a statewide culinary tour to celebrate Easterseals’ legacy in the Hawaiian Islands, kicked off their third year of events this summer. On Sunday, Aug. 26, Maui will host the final stop on this statewide tour at Sugar Beach Events in Kīhei with Traveling Plate “In the Kitchen.”

Attendees can learn firsthand the skills that make a top chef at this unique interactive “cooking class” where guests will work side-by-side Maui’s favorite chefs as they help craft a locally-sourced dish. Guests will travel from chef station to chef station, learning skills and assisting with the creation of each dish. While the chefs put the final touch on their dishes guests will then enjoy a mixology demonstration.

For those who opt not to get interactive and only want to join as “taste testers,” there will be a limited amount of “Taster” tickets that will include arrival at 5 p.m. for the Mixology Demo and entry to the reception.
