Police ID Woman Found in Ha‘ikū Gulch

Maui police have since released the identity of the woman whose body was found on Monday in a gulch in Haʻikū, Maui.
Police say the woman has since been identified as Maile Hanson, 29, of Waiehu.
Hanson’s family has been notified of her passing.
Patrol officers were initially assigned to a report of a deceased female in the area of East Kuiaha Gulch, near the Hāna Highway at around 7:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 27, 2018.
Police say the circumstances surrounding Hanson’s death remain under investigation.
