Two Wailuku Postal Workers Honored with National Safety Awards
Two postal employees at the Wailuku Post Office were honored today with a safety award from the National Safety Council and the US Postal Service.
Graylen Strahan and Ronah Kepani were awarded the One Million Mile Club award for attaining 1,000,000 miles or 30 years of safe driving without a preventable incident.
“I am extremely proud to recognize two of our employees for this special achievement,” said Leah Akiyama, Postmaster at the Wailuku Post Office. “There’s not that many people who can say that they have achieved this award. That speaks to what they do each and every day–being cognizant and looking out for the safety of themselves and others.”
The National Safety Council and the United States Postal Service work together to reward drivers who deliver on safety every day.
Both Strahan and Kepani have more than 30 years of driving experience without incurring a preventable accident. The two were honored with a special plaque and pins recognizing their exemplary safety over their three decades of service.
