Queen Ka’ahumanu Center hosts Sleigh Bells Lip Sync Battle, a holiday lip-sync competition open to contestants six years and older on Friday, Dec. 14, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Contestants must perform one song of their choice, which will be judged on lip sync ability, appearance and stage presence, overall creativity, crowd appeal and audience response.  Dancing is encouraged, but is optional.

Contestants have a chance to win a QKC Grand Prize valued at $250.

Judges include Maui’s own Nā Hōkū Hanohano multi award-winner, Nāpua Greig. Nāpua is a Kumu Hula, teacher, recording artist, mother and most recently DJ for KPOA 93.5 FM.

Jim McLemore of Jimmy Mac & The Kool Kats and Toni Rojas, Vice President of Business and Community Development at Queen Ka’ahumanu Center will also be judging.

“We have an abundance of fabulous Maui talent. This is your chance to showcase yourself on our Center Stage in front of a great audience,” said Toni Rojas, Vice President of Business and Community Development. “Don’t be shy. Show us what you’ve got,” she said.

Interested Lip Sync contestants should contact Amanda at (808) 856-8109 or [email protected] for a time slot. Space is limited to 12 contestants and reservations are highly encouraged.
