A free night sky photography workshop by astrophotographer Stan Honda is open to the public at the Haleakalā National Park Headquarters Visitor Center on March 23, 2019 at 5 p.m.

As Haleakalā National Park’s 2019 Artist in Residence, Honda will hold a public night sky photography workshop at the Headquarters Visitor Center in the Summit District.

The New York-based photographer and photojournalist will be working in the park during a month long residency through a partnership between the National Park Service and the National Parks Arts Foundation.

Honda’s work features natural landscapes, usually night time panoramas.

The March 23 workshop is appropriate for photographers of all skill levels.

The event is free to the public (park entrance fee or park pass is required to enter the park) and is sponsored in part with a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Pre-registration is required. To register, call (808) 572-4425.
